Does dry erase come out of suede?

Paige lately has been making life very interesting for Rob and I!!! I really do think she is Picasso reincarnated, and our walls and her body are a testament to that! Today she effectively destroyed a bed spread, and her cream colored suede chair with a lovely impressionist drawing with some dry erase markers. Her other mediums include, Chalk, Pen, Pencil, Permanent marker, and my favorite Finger paint! If you scroll down to the bottom of the posts I've put some new Paige pics, modeling some of her latest works of art! You can always tell now when she's colored on her self, because she walks into the room and announces "I need a tubbie".

  1. Haha, SO CUTE! I'm always drawing on myself with my pens.. I forget to click them back in before I put them in my shirt pocket... Paige--great artists are never appreciated in their time! :)

  4. Hello there Tracie... you don't know me, but I found your blog on mormon.org. I hope you don't mind, but I was VERY touched by your story and was interested in learning more about your sweet family. I couldn't help but laugh when I read about your little artist because I happen to have one myself. I just thought I'd share something that has worked for me (as far as clean up goes). I've never actually tried dry-erase from suede, but I have been very successful with getting ball point pen, crayons and even a hot pink sharpie from light tan micro fiber. My cleaner of choice is hand sanitizer... the clear kind (no colored) and a clean white cloth (preferably a flour sack towel). It takes a lot of elbow grease, but it works. Maybe try that?!?! Anyway, thank you for just a small peak into you beautiful family!! Best wishes! Sarah Hasson, West Jordan, UT

  5. Tracie,
Thanks to you and Rob for posting a profile on mormon.org. Of course, I turned around and shared it with others. That's what Mormons do best, right? I learned the hard way about dry eraser markers and clothing. I had my niece at my office and she somehow painted her adorable, new
velvet-like pants. Needless to say..the lesson learned was "no playing with the dry eraser markers for Ava Elizabeth". I did get most of it out..but, not entirely.
I look forward to following your blog.
